"How do cells navigate their developmental pathways to assume specific fates, and

how do they adapt under physiological and pathological conditions?"

• Our lab investigates the mechanisms of cell fate determination and the dynamic states that cells adopt in response to changing environments. Understanding these processes is key to revealing how normal development is orchestrated and how it goes awry in disease.

• We focus on the hypothalamus, “the heart of the brain”, a central hub that regulates homeostatic and innate behaviors linking metabolism, emotion, and cognition.
